Thought Leadership content is the best! I've seen firsthand how thought leadership content can ramp up engagement rates by as much as 50% compared to the usual stuff. Marketers who focus on Thought Leadership Content not only enhance their brand's reputation but also smooth the path through all stages of the sales funnel. What is NOT Thought Leadership Content? "10 ways to do X" or "Buyer’s guide for Y" and so on. What is Thought Leadership Content? First, it’s written by someone who has truly experienced something and knows the subject very deeply. Next, it’s about clearly articulating the pain and point to ways of solving that pain in an authoritative way with clear tactical examples. Why does it work? It deeply resonates because it shows a profound understanding of the audience's pain. What formats work best? I found Dr. John F Demartini's method quite illuminating for discovering my core values. Once you know them, and importantly, their hierarchy, sharing content becomes a more intuitive process.
