The meeting of the Optica Advanced Manufacturing Alliance is behind us. Honestly, the event was a blast and FEMTOprint SA is proud of having sponsored and actively contributed to it. After two days of intense business and technology exchanges, it is clear that the advanced manufacturing value chain has a huge potential, even though it is still too complex for end-users. Still it is not clear what would be the best configuration for the Alliance, but simply structuring the value chain and making it lean & clear will have a huge impact in helping all the companies active in it to better integrate their offer, thus generating more value for customers as well as more business opportunities. With Andrea Lovera, we could participate to the discussions and appreciate the level and openess of the exchanges. Celebrating scale up: Fraunhofer spin-off reflects on acquisition Optik am Fraunhofer IPT spin-off AIXEMTEC GmbH has reached a major milestone in scaling up, marking its first year as part of technology giant Schunk Group.
