Is SFAC and Agriculture Ministry promoting Unfair Trade Practices in its FPO? This is in continuation to my article titled Mahua Laddus Priced at Rs6000/ Kg on Mystore. https://lnkd.in/dcJ_wacp. I have received a lot of messages and comments and one of it was a query whether a case can be made against SFAC & Other Implementing Agencies under the Unfair Trade Practices - Section 2(47) in Consumer Protection Act, 2019. Logically speaking, SFAC as the Nodal Implementing Agency of the 10K FPO scheme needs to answer as to whether the FPO is marketing the product based on some business plan and whether SFAC had sought the business plan of the FPO for the product the FPO was selling through Mystore. The FPOs promoted under the 10K FPO scheme are expected to be under the hand holding support of the implementing agencies and NAFED as the implementing agency of this particular FPO cannot escape responsibility and claim ignorance of the unfair trade practices of the FPO. I would request my friends here on LinkedIn to help me and advice me whether I should start thinking of filing a PIL against SFAC as the Nodal Implementing Agency for supporting Unfair Trade Practices by 10K Scheme FPOs.

China’s import market enters new ‘cautious era’. China’s shrimp imports declined for the fourth consecutive quarter in 2024, marking a new era of cautious purchasing in the vast market, according to a panel of experts. Despite importing a record 1 million metric tons of shrimp in 2023, imports declined in the 12 months to the end of June, according to Willem van der Pijl, managing director of the Global Shrimp Forum Foundation.
