I am getting sick of this. And chances are - you literally too... A growing amount of research shows a disturbing fact: Microplastics have invaded our bodies. Scientists found microplastics in a human: - brain - blood - placentas (and a lot more) Think about it next time when you: Drink a coffee from a single-use "paper" cup. Microwave your baby's food formula. Drink bottled water. These things come with a severe cost to our health that we are yet to fully understand. One more huge reason to ditch our single-use, throw-away culture, fueled by fossil fuels. What can you do? Choose: 1. Reusable and refillable food & beverage packaging 2. Zero-waste packaging: go plastic-free is possible 3. Natural fibers over synthetic fibers in clothing None of this is easy. A lot is out of our hands, as consumers. But we all have a choice and a voice. So use it wisely! It's not just the planet that's at stake. It's your health too. PS.: What's your tip to avoid microplastics?
Green Rock Middle East & Asia Pacific our paper cups have zero plastic, 100% home compostable, zero micro-plastics & zero PFAS. 👏 Greg Dawson
Not sure what will change people but no much definitive proof about the consequences of the microplastics besides the work of Dr. Shanna Swana has really reached the larger public. Even blogs with the titles like below don't seem to really turn heads. https://medium.com/@neilgraham_12492/your-balls-are-full-of-plastic-and-are-shrinking-47b4f3aa0c2b
Do you have information about one-way PET bottles?
Our deep fascination for convenience is killing us and the world.
I’ve no clue what paper cups are. I’ve never seen one, and I can’t wrap my head around how they’d even hold liquid. Back in primary school, we used to make those cube-shaped water bombs out of paper, and they barely lasted ten seconds before leaking everywhere. I just use a glass. It was invented ages ago, and it actually lasts.
Thank you for bringing this up. I would also add: tea bags and scratched frying pans release microplastics which are dangerous to humans, especially women’s heath.
What's the point of paper cups, if they still contain plastic, haha.
💳 Apparently we ingest about 5 grams of microplastics every week, roughly the weight of a credit card!
✅ I totally agree, 👌 but my product is a plant-based, fully biodegradable fertilizer. 👍
