The BigAI@MIT Conference highlighted the incredible opportunities and pressing challenges of GenAI, capturing the moment perfectly: we’re at the “gradually, then suddenly” stage of adoption. The article identifies key hurdles: – Upskilling millions to work with AI – Scaling pilots into enterprise-ready systems – Tackling misinformation, bias, and compliance risks At Trustwise, we’ve seen these challenges firsthand — they’re why we built Optimize:ai. Companies need tools to navigate AI’s 4 top challenges: cost, safety, alignment, and latency. How Trustwise addresses them: 1️⃣ Cost: Optimizing token usage with intelligent model selection, caching, and scaling, cutting costs by up to 80% 2️⃣ Safety: Ensuring robust defenses against hallucinations and data leakage with stress-testing and red teaming 3️⃣ Alignment: Seamlessly integrating compliance with frameworks like NIST AI RMF, EU AI Act, and GDPR into AI pipelines 4️⃣ Latency: Reducing response times through hyper-parallelized architectures for real-time efficiency In a deployment with a global bank, we cut carbon emissions by 64%, achieved 100% compliance, and drastically reduced operational costs — all without compromising performance. As MIT’s article states, scaling AI responsibly is an optimization problem. Trustwise helps enterprises innovate confidently while balancing trade-offs. #GenAI #generativeAI #TrustworthyAI #AI MIT Initiative on the Digital Economy

World Economic Forum in collaboration with KPMG has published the "Blueprint for Intelligent Economies – AI Competitiveness through Regional Collaboration" a whitepaper with an ambitious objective: to "provide guidance for nations to achieve a successful AI revolution, irrespective of their level of digital and AI maturity". 🌐 Source: https://lnkd.in/d7Enhzz8 How the blueprint can help drive growth through inclusive AI? - Building the foundations for intelligent economies (Infrastructure, Data, Investment); - Growing new intelligent economies (Adoption in industries, Start-up ecosystems); - Putting people at the heart of intelligent economies (AI Ethics, Workforce Development, Governance). As correctly highlighted "collaboration can be the key to unlocking the success of AI, but we also must recognize that each country and region will follow their own journey..." and about the contribute of this blueprint "... provides a common language and a set of practical resources to support the planning and implementation of robust AI ecosystems across the three layers" (above cited). As you can see, the report relies on: - Interviews and consultations with governments, businesses, academia, and non-profits; - Case studies of national AI policies, infrastructure investments, and digital transformation initiatives; - Global AI ecosystem analysis, including investment trends, digital infrastructure, and AI governance frameworks; - Comparative policy review of existing AI strategies WorldWide. What about the challenges? - No single global AI regulatory body; - Geopolitical divides in AI governance (e.g.: US vs EU regulations vs. China’s AI model governance); - Regulatory fragmentation making cross-border AI innovation difficult. I highly suggest saving the three tables you will find in the whitepaper and mirrored in the comments, related to: 1. Key challenges in building sustainable AI infrastructure; 2. Key challenges in curating high-quality and diverse datasets; 3. Key challenges in establishing guardrails for responsible AI. #ArtificialIntelligence #AI #Innovation #AIGovernance #AIEthics #Blueprint #RaceToAI

A Huge Thank You to the Institute of Directors (IoD) for hosting today’s session on "AI: Introduction, Application, and Governance". I had the privilege of attending a lunchtime talk by Zoe Webster of Authentic Innovations on “Unlocking AI’s Potential”—a timely exploration of AI’s role in Science, Policy, and Media. With the UK Government’s AI Opportunities Action Plan in mind, this discussion was both relevant and thought-provoking. https://lnkd.in/eiXaa3mD Key takeaways that resonated with me: 🔍 AI in Business Growth – Whether we’re developing new AI tools or simply adapting existing ones, it’s clear AI’s impact on scaling businesses is undeniable. 💡 The Shadows of AI Use – Microsoft and LinkedIn have highlighted that 78% of people use AI in the shadows—and that’s just the beginning. We’re at the precipice of a cultural shift driven by AI, one that will redefine how we work and interact. ⚖️ AI Governance & Privacy – As we dive deeper into AI’s potential, it’s crucial we address governance, privacy, and data rights. The ethical considerations around good vs. bad actors must remain at the forefront of every conversation. 🌍 Sustainability in AI – One stat that stood out: It takes 700,000 litres of fresh water to cool a data centre, and by 2027, AI is projected to use between 4.2 - 6.6 billion cubic meters of water. Responsible, sustainable AI isn’t just an option—it’s essential. 🤖 AI + Humans = Actionable Intelligence – Perhaps the most impactful message of the day: AI thrives when paired with human insight. The most successful organizations will be those that blend technology and humanity to create true value. I was also fascinated by emerging concepts like Agentic AI, AI at the Edge, and Immersive Technology—all shaping the future of AI in ways we’re only beginning to understand. What are your thoughts on the role of AI in business, governance, and sustainability? How do you see it evolving in the coming years? Do you feel that the EU AI Act provides a useful framework for ensuring responsible and ethical AI development? #AI #Technology #Governance #Sustainability #Innovation #FutureOfWork #BusinessGrowth
