One of the most common challenges I see when I coach CTOs and advise companies is that they have very ineffective prioritization processes which ends up leading to misalignment between product and the business' goals. It's why I wrote the CTO Levels Prioritize Effectively Playbook and why I end up sharing that strategy several times a week with clients. It's so fulfilling to see client's "get it", implement it, and then see their business begin to soar. I look forward to sharing this topic with my 7CTOs Growth Group Coaching program this week in our next session. Let's all prioritize more success together. #cto #ctos #growth #prioritization #product #success #startups
Many companies struggle with an ineffective prioritization process, which often leads to delays, misaligned goals, and wasted resources. In this month's 7CTOs Growth program, we are tackling these challenges head-on by exploring how to build a more efficient, focused prioritization process using the CTO Levels Product block and Prioritize Effectively Playbook. We will examine how to implement a weighted matrix prioritization method, set clear priorities, and maintain flexibility—all while ensuring we can move quickly and stay aligned with business goals. If you are a CTO and this sort of conversation interests you, please consider joining 7CTOs. We have these sorts of conversations all the time! https://lnkd.in/gGxSgahS #cto #ctos #product #prioritization

We believe that Lean thinking is a critical skillset that all CTOs need to bring to their work. Lean thinking is what helps us de-risk projects, estimate more effectively, and incorporate essential feedback into all that we do. Yet, most CTOs don't understand the core tenets of Lean and don't know how to apply Lean into their daily process. This month the 7CTOs Growth group coaching program is focusing on the Lean block from the CTO Levels framework. This week's group coaching session focused on a practical tactic for bringing Lean thinking to any project. Leading software organizations is a complex challenge. A group of highly skilled people with different profiles and aspirations, who still need to achieve common objectives. Systems thinking is not a new concept, and it has inspired movements in different industries, from Lean Production Systems to Agile. Still, it is not currently widely applied in the software industry. While its theory is well known, its practical application is challenging in software engineering teams. This presentation by Francisco Trindade will provide a practical perspective on using systemic leadership to drive a software engineering organization. We will discuss some theory and many case studies, focusing on how to make teams successful by examining how they work. Join May 14th at 6pm ET / 5pm CT / 3pm CT. One of the most effective ways that #CTOs can shield their company from threats is by having a strong approach to how they manage their INFRASTRUCTURE. Most think they are doing a great job in this area... and they aren't. Most CTOs I speak with to have serious gaps which leaves them as serious risk. I'm looking forward to this month's group coaching sessions as we dive into these essential techniques. #ctos #startupcto #technology #infrastructureascode #iac
Members of the 7CTOs Growth Group Coaching program are talking about INFRASTRUCTURE this month. This week's topic focuses in how to future proof our companies and shield them from threats by implementing effective Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices. If you're a startup #CTO and interested in learning how to effectively support your company an strengthen your ability to do your role effectively, then join your peers in our coaching program. It's only $300/mo for 3 hours of group coaching/month plus you get a new assessment each month to help you better understand where you team is currently at.
