📣 Join us in recognizing Avneet Mahil, the City of Manteca’s new Deputy Public Works Director! 📣   Avneet joined the City of Manteca in 2019 as a Solid Waste Supervisor, where she focused on building a strong team within the Solid Waste Division. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she also played a key role in the Emergency Operations Center, supporting public information and other departments.   In July 2020, Avneet was promoted to Solid Waste Manager, where she continued to grow as a leader. She led efforts to enhance customer service, implement the Solid Waste Rate Study, expand public outreach through social media, and support key city projects and initiatives.   For the past year, she has served as Interim Deputy Director, taking a team-first approach as she stepped into new responsibilities, including Fleet Maintenance. Some of her major accomplishments in this role include launching the 3-cart weekly collection system for solid waste, recycling, and organics; securing a lease-to-own program for commercial fleet vehicles; and strengthening customer service both internally and externally.   Congratulations on your new role, Avneet! 👏   #TeamManteca #CityofManteca #MantecaCA #LeadershipSpotlight
