Great article about PBMs and how they're impacting independent pharmacies and the patients they serve. Tami Luhby brings up an important point about PBMs and their interests. "PBMs, which serve as middlemen in the drug supply chain by negotiating rebates with drug manufacturers on behalf of insurers, large employers and others, could be steering patients to their own pharmacies and away from independent pharmacies," she writes.
