How would I build my ideal social media department? I'm glad you asked. Here are my immediate hires: → Video Creator: Short Video Specialist → Producer: Content Curator → Analyst: Performance Analyst → Performance: Ads Specialist → Community Manager: Engager → Social Support: Customer Support → Campaign: influencer, creator work → Employee Advocacy: Brand Promoter → Director: Strategy And the sprinkle on top would be to have dedicated platform specialists who know each channel like the back of their hand. But I guess the popular route is rolling it all into the single title of Social Media Manager, so whatever.
You have this straaange habit of being one of my favourite thought leaders on here ❤️.
Copywriter?
A short-form video specialist makes sense seeing all the platforms and the reach it gets. But I want to understand if having different long-form and short-form creators would be preferred in a team? Short-form platforms are also slowly inching towards long-form content. What would be the ideal practice here? I love this ideal team breakdown. I'm not at a stage to have a team of my own but saving this for sure!
I've baked these recommendations into strategy slides at this point. Including a then/now slide followed by a slide on team structure helps illustrate how complex and specialized this space has become. Additionally, making explicit the need for senior leadership to advocate for this team with their peers so the entire function doesn't become button pushers.
Wait? You can have teams on social media 🙃 this like actually makes sense Christina Le
At least a meme assistant??👁️👄👁️
awesome, and in many cases, many companies want all of these to come in one JD of Social Media Manager 🤣
You should design a social media themed deck of cards Christina
