I have been talking to companies in this space for many years, and it feels like we are now getting to the market scale required for VR headsets to take off. Unfortunately it is hard to make a market, and Meta has done a great job with the Quest line, especially the Quest 2, which has sold in similar numbers to Apple's breakout iPhone 3G.
