Hello, I'm Keith Dyer, Editor of the Mobile Network and I'm here to give you some insights into a brand new report that we have available. The report is on the topic of RAN automation and open RAN and it looks at operator strategies for the development and deployment of SMO. And Rick platforms will come to that in a bit. But to help me tell you a bit about that, I have with me Rishi Verma, who is Director of Sales for Ericsson Software. Rishi, as I said, this report looks at the topic of open round SMO that service management and orchestration. And the rack, which is the RAN intelligent controller. And we were delighted to have Erickson join us as lead sponsor for this report. So why do you think this is a key area and topic for mobile operators at the moment? This topic is very important because of one main reason that is network complexity. The network complexity is at the peak for the operators due to different reasons including technological advancement. You use cases demanding consumers which they are catering to different traffic profiles. So this has been a lot of network complexity while at one end the operator need to handle the network complexity, they need to reduce the cost and innovate and monetize. So I think this is a perfect mix where. Decimal or EIP in our case comes into place. One thing we did and we we did it well, I think we went out and we spoke to a whole bunch of operators and we asked them directly about their plans and strategies, their motivations for deployment of this of these elements and what they see is important. And I just wondered what do you see from the Erickson side as being the key decision points that your customers are facing? Our decision points have been always, always been aligned with the operators which we are talking to with the global experience which we have. And what we are seeing is that different operator in different state of adoption of SMO at this point of time. Some are early adopters while some are still deliberating whether they should do or not. So I think we are adapting. One important to note is that EIP which is RSMO, Ericsson Intelligent Automation platform. That can be used now for the operator who are not thinking of open run as well. So it can suffice to purposeful run, cloud run and open run. So we are listening to the operators and strategizing accordingly. Yeah, so in those conversations with the operators, we found that they did indeed often hold contrasting views on different aspects really or could be adoption or or timelines. I mean, First off, were you surprised that operators do seem to hold quite different viewpoints? Yes, I think the whole different viewpoints because they are in different stage of where they are in different geographies. So definitely that is what we are seeing as well. And in terms of that then how does that impact how Ericsson develops its own solutions? I think we are listening to the operators trying to see how some operators which want to do here and now they can start with purpose build run and then some operators which I think you're modernizing the network, they can look for open run as well with the same EIP platform. So I think we are looking into. What the operator is where they are and some operators are looking for operational efficiencies by consolidating all the applications and that's where also we, we as Erickson are helping out. OK. And you mentioned, uh, your solutions in this area, the, the IAP, um, how do you think that your role will develop in helping operators with those strategies, especially in that open ran or open ran ready context biggest help which we can do as Ericsson is bringing the global expertise which we have. So since we have reached in different parts of the world, some operators are very mature and we are working with them while some operators are still deliberating whether they should or not. So I think. The the global expertise which we have and the collaboration which we have with all different CSPS in the world, we think that this could be a good journey forward. OK, fantastic. And in terms of the the report itself, really I just wanted to ask you, do you think it will be a useful piece of information, useful resource for your customers? Absolutely. I think this will definitely be eye opener for some. Some it could be that, OK, we know this, but definitely it could be a new insight for many. Rosie, thanks very much.
