The word university appears to be a combination of the words “unity” and “diversity”- I am not even close to being an etymologist but I wonder if the intent of a university is to be a place where there is unity in the purpose of learning and seeking knowledge; yet also a place where diversity of (thought, ideas, and cultures) can enhance learning.

This is a good question, we must look at everyone strength and make it happen. God made it so we can live together in unity not one race of people or power over everyone else. Just saying we must prepare ourselves for the end times 666 don't take the mark! Oh live your best life and ask God your God to save you.

Why would diversity hamper unity? Can't you be diverse and unified?
