In 2024, the Church strengthened relationships with key organizations that make a difference in the face of disasters, like American Red Cross. In March, leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints were able to present the American Red Cross with a $7.35 million donation. This donation would allow the organization to: —Purchase blood equipment. —Obtain biomedical emergency vehicles. —Continue blood donor engagement initiatives. —Support patients with sickle cell disease. “This is a very, very generous gift. I’m incredibly pleased and touched,” said CEO Cliff Holtz. “The reason our [collaboration] has staying power is because we share so many common values—humanitarian spirit, a call to serve, building trust. This is special in so many ways—and it’s not just because of a check. It’s because of the volunteer work that you do.” Learn more about this donation here: https://lnkd.in/gK2pUfuT #Philanthropy #Kindness #HumanitarianWork
I am so grateful to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which continues to do great work in serving communities around the world. This generous donation to the American Red Cross will be a blessing to so many. Sharing the love of our Savior, Jesus Christ, through service is at the heart of the gospel. It’s inspiring to see how the Church not only gives but also builds lasting relationships based on trust and humanitarian spirit. #Philanthropy #Kindness #HumanitarianWork #Serve
The Red Cross gives millions to corrupt NGO's that illegally traffic illegal aliens into the USA. The church should not be giving money to them or Catholic Charities or UNRWA... Church needs to do a much better job of vetting these organizations and holding them to account.
I'm happy for my lovely wife to sustain and support me during my recent calling to serve in the house of the Lord regardless of us being newly married and she is a very recent convert. I know God loves us regardless of our physical, financial and emotional situations 😢🙄
Such a powerful and meaningful partnership! I’m so proud of the generosity and service the Church continues to show, especially through the donation to the American Red Cross. It’s inspiring to see how our shared values of service and compassion make a tangible impact in the world. Grateful to be part of a community that prioritizes giving and making a difference. #HumanitarianEfforts #Service #LDS
What is the salary of the American Red Cross CEO? That's important to know when you partner with any organization. Follow the money trail and make them accountable for every dollar donated to help and assist, not line the pockets of those at the top.
The best day of my life was when I told the missionaries that I wanted to get baptized in the church. After that, I got confirmed, and I've been a faithful member for over 20 years, and still counting.
Wow that is an extraordinary donation! I know the church has strong relationships with NHS Blood and Transplant in the UK too. Great to see an initiative to make a real practical difference to so many people's lives
The church is really true.
Incredible and inspiring. Thank you!

1wSo awesome, but I wish the Red Cross would reduce their operating expenses. Their top Execs are paid way too much. Most of them are already very wealthy. Why do they need any high compensation, bonuses and extremely rich benefits? If they really believed in their mission, they would treat their jobs like a mission.
