Last year in the Netherlands, 2 unicorns emerged, 2 companies went public and founders raised $3.1 billion. Dutch founders have built 268 scale ups. 13118 deep tech companies were active In 2024, the Dutch tech industry created 55,000 jobs. From health breakthroughs to AI solutions shaping the future, Dutch tech is driving global change. Behind every breakthrough in Dutch tech is a story of entrepreneurial determination and trust. Founders who persevered. Investors who. Believed and early adopters who dared to take the leap. We were all very good at thinking through open-ended unstructured problems and and finding our way. And where I think we need to do a bit better is in our ambition in in being confident that we can go and tackle these these huge world problems with every bit of technology that we're building. What I'm most proud of in the Netherlands is the diversity of tech that we've got in our startup space. When I look at what's coming out of universities, this is great research that is addressing the toughest problem that the world's got today, and we're building companies to actually solve, you know, those problems. But I'm most proud of in the in the Dutch tech space, yeah, is maybe a bit of a cliche, but those are really the companies like ASML that are world. Leaders in their field and that's really something that we inspire to be as well and I think the whole ecosystem around it that is really something so powerful and I think that engineering mindset in the Netherlands, that's really something I'm very proud of we decide to build something and then we do it and we deliver we've been very ambitious in solving the world's problems let's be ambitious in commercializing those solutions for that to really happen we've got to create an environment where a vibrant. Capital market can exist. We need to have a vibrant talent pool. We need to have a diverse customer base that we can sell to. I think when all of these ingredients come together, we are a super force in terms of the kind of technology that we're sitting on and we can go out and really change the world with it. No. So what I would like to ask from the state of Dutch takes stakeholders is to really help us accelerate. the US is all in on deep tech. Asia is all in. And here in Europe, we sometimes tend to get a little bit stuck. And we have all the ingredients, we have these ideas, we have the great engineers, but we need to move faster. So what can you do to help? Absolutely. You know every thought.
