Design your own Galaxy at the Science Museum Lates . . This month, I had the opportunity to exhibit at the science museum lates (again!). For this project, I wanted to explore the ability to create collective spaces as participants, and how I could visualise people contributing to something bigger than just their own creation. I created a galaxy space, and provided people attending the science museum lates with clay and plastic balls to cover and design planets with. Once a planet was designed, you would get a description of the planet by placing it in a box, which would describe the planet, assigning it a texture, distance from star and name. As the night went on, the galaxies got bigger and bigger, and the queues got larger. I am extremely grateful for this opportunity and the ability to have made something to this scale and audience. I would also like to thank everyone who helped me execute this project, especially Anand Yagnik, who helped me flesh this out into a real thing, people from the 3D workshop, and Creative Technology Labs at LCC, who responded to my random emails and teams messages. Thank you to Aditya Pratap Singh Suhani Gujral Akshat Adlakha Megan Tan and everyone else who helped me troubleshoot every problem I ran into! This has been a collective effort of everyone who helped me get through this project, from ideation to execution. Photos by: Moh Mandhyan Yash N.

This is absolutely incredible, Sukriti!✨ The concept of creating a collective galaxy where each person contributes a unique planet is such a beautiful way to visualize collaboration and creativity. I can only imagine how magical it must have been to see the galaxies grow throughout the night! Huge congrats on bringing this to life at Science Museum Lates (again!)—the scale, the engagement, and the sheer imagination behind it are inspiring. Love how you brought together art, science, and interactive storytelling in such a seamless way. Big shoutout to your amazing team too—this is proof of what happens when creativity meets collaboration! Can’t wait to see what you bring to life next.

Very well done Sukriti Khurana. Commendable imagination and work ethic, leading you to “two in a row” showcase events at The Science Museum London Wonderful stuff👏👏👏

What an incredibly successful event Sukriti Khurana. It was an engaging setup and sparked so much curiosity, no wonder you had the biggest crowds there! Monumental planning, design and execution, bridging digital and tactile experiences, well done!
