Today marks an exciting moment as HashiCorp announces its acquisition by IBM—another step in its journey to revolutionize how applications are built and delivered. What they’ve accomplished is nothing short of extraordinary. Armon Dadgar and Mitchell Hashimoto are visionaries who have built world-class products that solve real-world problems for delighted users. While creating one successful open-source project is impressive, under their leadership—and with the dedication of an outstanding engineering and product team—HashiCorp has delivered hit after hit. And none of this would have scaled the way it did without David McJannet’s incredible leadership. He built an extraordinary team (shoutout to Marc Holmes, Paul Warenski, Susan St. Ledger, Talha Tariq, Ash Nangia, and many others), enabling HashiCorp to grow into the powerhouse it is today. It’s always inspiring to see great things happen to great people—including friends like Glenn Solomon, Robin Vasan, Navin Chaddha, and Tom Loverro. I'm excited to see what the future holds! Redpoint feels very fortunate to have worked with you all. We know this is only the beginning for Hashi. We can't wait to see where the team goes from here...we just know that it will be special!
