🚀NL Space Lift-Off 2025: A Promising Year for the Dutch Space Sector🚀 Today, the Dutch space sector gathered at Space Expo on NL Space Campus in Noordwijk to kick off an ambitious year ahead. One year ago, the Long-Term Space Agenda was presented to the Minister of Economic Affairs and Climate, outlining key goals for the sector. Now, as we step into 2025, the focus shifts to execution. Harm van de Wetering van de Wetering, Director of NSO - Netherlands Space Office emphasized the importance of this moment: “This is a very important space year for the Netherlands, for ESA, and for the European Space Programme. Over the coming months, discussions with the new cabinet and parliament will shape the Long-Term Space Agenda’s direction and ambition. At the end of the year, ESA’s Ministerial Conference will define the ESA agenda for the coming years, and the EU will also make key decisions on the European space programme.” The evening’s speakers offered a glimpse into what’s ahead: • Jeroen Rotteveel Rotteveel, Chairman of SpaceNed shared updates on the Amsterdam Space Symposium 2026, a major Dutch industry event set to drive international collaboration. • Philip Thomas, Head of ESA’s ScaleUp Programme Division, introduced ESA Phi-Lab Netherlands, aimed at accelerating the commercialisation of promising space research. • Philippe Schoonejans, Interim Director of Space-Expo Noordwijk and Meindert Stolk from Provincie Zuid-Holland , presented the European Robotic Arm (ERA) exhibition, showcasing Europe’s role in space robotics. • Two exciting projects were also highlighted: SatInsight TechHub by Groundstation.Space and the Space Simulator by Stellar Space Industries Space.
