With optimism for the future of the sector, the panel offered some top tips for future success in the MedTech sector for new companies. 💡Primarily focus on attracting high quality people and not your inner circle 💡Don’t always jump in with the pitch, think a few steps ahead and focus on the end goal 💡Focussing on revenue generation initially isn’t the key to future success. Focus more on performance and engagement - don’t make any compromises 💡Stay fluid and flexible to navigate the tight regulatory landscape 💡Don’t get bullied by investors to go early - properly scaling is crucial to the longevity and success of your business. It also builds credibility to push back 💡Be brutal about areas of overspending 💡Be creative about getting to the clinical evidence stage 💡Keep a core team as lean as possible and busy, but not overstretched 💡Bringing on the right sort of investors will help during the tough times 💡It’s easier to find money when you don’t need money; keep your runway as long as possible and keep getting investment, even when you think you don’t need it.
