#Startups, here are two new #funds that might be interesting for you: 🚀#Munich-based Vanagon.vc launches €30 million fund to invest on B2B start-ups. They are the early backer for founders building digital solutions at the intersection of #climate and #finance. 🚀#Amsterdam-based Rockstart launches €50 million second #AgriFood fund to double down on early-stage startups. The fund is backed by Export and Investment Fund of Denmark (EIFO), De Hoge Dennen, and Danish Agro, amongst other new and existing backers. #venturecapital #venturefunding #NewFunds #NewVCFunds

However, the challenge intensifies significantly when seeking larger sums — 5, 10, or even 20-30 million CHF, which many industries require for growth and scaling. At this critical juncture, startups often face substantial difficulties securing the necessary funding within Switzerland. As a result, many promising startups venture abroad, sometimes even relocating to access better opportunities and resources. It's crucial for us to acknowledge and address these challenges to keep our innovative startups thriving within our borders. By fostering a more supportive environment for larger-scale investments, we can ensure that Switzerland continues to be a hub for groundbreaking ideas and entrepreneurial success. To address this, Swisscom and UBS have launched the Deep Tech Nation Switzerland foundation, aiming to improve conditions for startups and investors and mobilize CHF 50 billion over the next decade. Back from BioEurope--Spring in Barcelona where I had the opportunity to participate in the plenary panel discussing company creation with European VC's and pharmas and a startup judging session. Learned that we use different nomenclature. In Europe, company creation means seed funding, not investors building a company from scratch. Scaling means progressing from grants and raising equity. Startups in both Europe and the US are struggling to raise funds in the current environment but European startups think it's easy to raise money here.
