Tips for Hospice Leaders: Lately I’ve been hearing a lot of hospice nurses express frustration about how stand-up and stand-down calls negatively affect their productivity. Back in the days before we had immediate access to patient information through EMRs and emails, we had no other way to effectively communicate patient information from day to day. Even though the calls are usually relatively short, they can negatively impact your nurse’s productivity by delaying the start of their day, and interrupting the end of their day. During this video I talk about some alternatives to these calls. If there is anything you would like me to talk about, please let me know 😊 To learn more about Amity’s hospice support services, visit our website at: www.AmityStaffing.com #tipsforhospiceleaders #hospice #hospicedon #shelleyhenry #amity #live #discharges #hospiceowner #executive #calls #productivity #executivedirector #caseload #ratios #savemoney #reduceexpenses #forhospicenurses #hospicenurse #survey #fyp #foryourpage

6dI never really liked these calls. They became mini IDGs and/or teaching moments. Although, that’s nice to have the contact with others and exchange info, thiese calls are not the venue. Secured emails are the most efficient means to relay a report.
