🗞️ IBM i | Operations | Handling Dormant Users 🧑💻 📔 One essential practice is disabling user profiles for individuals who have been absent for an extended period. How about automating it 💯 🔖 IBM i offers an efficient way to manage this through the Analyze Profile Activity (ANZPRFACT) This command can also be found from the GO SECTOOLS utility. ❇️ Specify the number of inactive days to identify profiles that haven’t been used. ❇️ QSECIDL1 job is scheduled automatically to run weekly at 1 a.m. in WRKJOBSCDE starting the day after the command is set up. ❇️ The system looks at the last used date, the restore date, and the creation date for the user profile. ❇️ Inactive profiles are disabled automatically without needing further manual intervention, unless you modify the inactivity threshold. ❇️ Specify *NOMAX in the command and the job QSECIDL1 is removed automatically. ↪️ By implementing this you can automate the process of securing unused profiles, reducing risk and strengthening your system’s defenses. #IBMi Common Europe i-UG - IBM i User Group IBM
