The place where missing a train is simply not an option, and catching the next one within minutes is just the norm - talk about teaching patience! And let's not forget, amidst the chaos, managing to hustle hard enough to rent my own flat stands as the biggest achievement to my journey there. 🏞 🚞 🕰 Enter Bangalore, buzzing with tech innovations and a unique community vibe. While it might not quite match Mumbai's hustle, there's an undeniable charm in its weather, people and the aroma of filter coffee lingering in the air. ☕ 👩💻 In the realm of professional endeavours, I've always found myself drawn to the dynamic world of SaaS. After clocking close to 3 years in SaaS/Ad-tech space, I can confidently say, this is where the action is. Happy to share that it has been a month since I started working as an Account Manager with the stellar team at WebEngage. The pace here is absolutely buzzing. 🚀 💼 The past few months have been one wild ride, known only to those closest to me. After the successful conclusion of #ConnectKaro 2024, we took the opportunity to come together as a team for a staff retreat—bringing together colleagues from our offices in Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi, and remote locations. It was a moment to reflect on our journey, from our humble beginnings to where we are today, with a bigger and stronger team, but with the same unwavering commitment to driving meaningful impact. As I looked around, I felt proud of how far we’ve come, but even more, I felt the same energy and commitment that drove us in the beginning. Today, we’re bigger in size, but what hasn’t changed is our purpose. From idealizing them to working along with them. This journey has been truly incredible! From me just giving it a try with hope and participating in “The Challenge” - An opportunity they offered to become a part of their team, to becoming a part of their team, wasn't less than a dream come true. After working for 2.5 years remotely, I realized the Importance of working with people one-on-one. I realized how important it is to meet people in person, connect with them on a deeper level, and learn from them. Exactly at that time, I saw Vedika and Unnati restarting their agency offline, thankfully in Bangalore. I connected with them, completed all the formal procedures of hiring, and OFFICIALLY became their team member on 13th April 2024! So, we have our office in Indiranagar Bangalore, and I travel 11km of distance every day to reach the office. It's super tiring and exhausting but I love every bit of it. I believe it's gonna be worth it ✨ This is my first “office job” and I've been feeling super happy about it. The kind of learning and exposure I'm getting at “The Growth Square” is incredible and I couldn't be more grateful for it. Unnati and Vedika both have unique and different personalities. What I loved the most about them are the efforts they’re putting in to create an environment where work doesn't feel monotonous boring and lonely but fun, relaxing, and collaborative. Here are the top 3 things I've learned so far: 1. It's okay to pivot strategies and restart at any point in life when you feel things aren't working. 2. Creating content consistently becomes easy when you make it a part of your daily life. 3. Building together with a partner makes the journey much more fulfilling, easy, and fun than rather building alone. Being a naturally social person, the beginning was tough for me. Yes, it was tough! Starting my career in Hyderabad posed a significant challenge – I didn't know a single soul in the city. The initial days felt daunting as I travelled through a sea of unfamiliar faces and places, trying to find my footing in this new environment. However, in between the initial struggles and moments of self-doubt, I decided to take a leap of faith. I realized that stepping out of my comfort zone was essential to starting this new chapter of my life. Instead of letting the fear of the unknown hold me back, I saw it as an opportunity for personal growth and exciting new beginnings. I began actively seeking ways to connect personally and professionally with people. No matter how brief, each interaction presented a chance to build meaningful connections, learn from others, and expand my social circle. As I immersed myself in the vibrant city of Hyderabad, I gradually found my place within its bustling professional landscape. Through these interactions and experiences, I discovered the beauty of stepping into the unknown. Every new acquaintance, every shared conversation, and every connection made along the way added a layer of richness to my journey. Today, as I look back on those initial hesitations and uncertainties, I am grateful for the courage that propelled me forward. Yesterday, a client called me while I was catching up with old school friends at DLF Mall, Noida. Despite being occupied, I gave him 20 minutes of my time. He was thrilled to share that he had closed his biggest consulting client ever, a startup from Bangalore. His gratitude was overwhelming, and he even offered me 10% of the share, which was higher than our yearly billing. However, since it was not my effort in closing, I humbly refused. This experience taught me that creating value in our clients' lives can lead to unexpected rewards. Here are some key learnings that I believe will help build strong client relationships and deliver excellent results: 1. Celebrate small successes with your clients outside of working hours. 2. Treat your clients as humans, not just another business deal. 3. Your growth is tied to your clients' growth. 4. Strong communication can help retain clients for the long term. 5. Always provide genuine feedback on results instead of faking anything.
