The Global Pandemic Monitoring Board at World Health Organization has come out with its 2024 Report. Two useful documents are freely available at https://lnkd.in/erzf7z42 https://lnkd.in/ewgvA-sr On 28 August, the WHO held a 'Consultation on drivers of epidemics and pandemics with civil society organisations and faith-based organisations'. My comments at this consultation are a part of the GPMB 2024 Report. Thank you Sally Smith, Sarah Hess.
Thank you for sharing sir. Indeed preparedness is key!! The current example with the pollution in Delhi NCR, is another example... it's an annual event now yet the most important stakeholders are in never ending conversations on how to tackle it...
Good morning sir and many many thanks for sharing

8moWhile thanking profusely my senior Prof. S. JAMEEL sir for sharing , I d like to add that in dealing meaningfully to crucial issues of epidemicity; prevention, management, and control , including COVID-19 and Swine Flu- H1N1, and now Smog- year after year, we have noticed with disdain and deep discomfort that a few non-experts in public health and those with the least insights into matters of global public health issues, are leading the show, skewing real issues with quasi-political intents. We need to urgently look into this aspect deeply and thoroughly for future action.
