Field has acquired the 200MW/800MWh Hartmoor Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) from Clearstone Energy, a key development in the UK's growing energy storage market. Located in Hartlepool, the project has secured an accelerated grid connection date, thanks to a collaborative effort with the National Energy System Operator (NESO). As renewable energy sources like the Dogger Bank wind farm come online, projects like Hartmoor will be essential in stabilizing the grid and reducing energy costs. This acquisition adds to Field's 11GW pipeline of energy storage projects across Europe, highlighting the critical role battery storage plays in achieving net zero goals. With storage capacity growing, the industry is gearing up for a cleaner, more efficient energy future! 🔋 Field Acquires Hartmoor BESS: Accelerating Energy Storage in the UK 🌍 https://lnkd.in/diQRefWQ #EnergyStorage #BatteryTech #Renewables #NetZero #Sustainability #BESS #GreenEnergy

The change from the most recent special update released in October last year is blamed on a year-long delay to Project Energy Connect, the biggest transmission project in Australia that will link NSW and South Australia. Good news is that South Australia, which leads the country and the world with a 75 per cent share of wind and solar, and a fast-tracked target of 100 per cent net renewables in 2027, is forecast to remain within the reliability standard as new projects are delivered and the new connection to NSW completed. #energyprojects #networkreliability #netrenewables
Delays in massive transmission and battery projects give NSW wriggle room to delay Eraring closure

Diffuse Energy is an excellent Australian startup working on to mature micro wind turbines. These turbines are small in size, require least financial investment and can immediately produce #electricity. Most importantly, these can be installed practically anywhere including #telecommunication towers, rooftops and #solar PV projects. As per International Energy Agency (IEA), data centers and transmission networks emits 1% of the energy related #GHGs emission. European Parliament, as per EY, there were 426,000 telecommunication towers installed in Europe in 2020. Just imagine, if each of these telecommunication towers are equipped with micro wind turbines. Wouldn't that be a great idea? :) https://lnkd.in/dASG-Jzn /Ayoub #AyoubHameedi #ProjectGE #renewableenergy #renewables #windturbines #windpower

A unified Western U.S. energy market could be a game-changer for clean energy. Market creation isn’t simply a matter for developers and corporates; it’s important for everyone because it means more affordable, resilient, and accessible renewable energy. We are excited to see Jeff St. John at Canary Media Inc. cover this important topic and outline how it can transform the Western market. This isn't being talked about enough. California exceeded 100% of their energy needs with clean energy for part of the day for 45 straight days & 69 out of the last 75 days. (This is the most recent update as of today) The state's grid-connected battery storage facility is making a significant impact by storing excess solar energy and reducing reliance on methane gas overnight. The transition can go even faster by working to flatten energy demand through VPPs that include more battery & solar arrays & the ability of vehicle to grid. On April 2nd, the California Independent System Operator, recommended $6.1B for 26 new transmission projects. Projection show that the state can potentially run solely on renewables as early as 2035 That is an entire decade ahead of schedule. Let's celebrate this milestone and keep pushing for a sustainable future! 🌍🔋 #CleanEnergy #Renewables #Sustainability #California #WindEnergy #SolarPower #Hydropower #BatteryStorage https://lnkd.in/eWQ2R63V

California has the third highest electricity costs in the US. I wonder how long will businesses and households tolerate higher prices in pursuit of their green agenda. Had they prioritized competitive nuclear power firms to build reactors, they would have green energy at a lower environmental and economic cost. Most solar panels are made in China using coal powered plants. And wind energy farms have a massive negative impact on the environment as the blades are packed into landfills https://lnkd.in/dznyE43e
