I’ll never forget the day we signed the lease on our very first factory. It felt like a massive leap into the unknown. Up until then, The Pure Food Co had been operating out of an incubator space, building our products on what felt like a kitchen bench. We had outstayed our welcome (in a good way) and it was time to scale up. That first factory wasn’t glamorous - far from it, actually. It was an old bacon factory that needed a serious facelift. But to us, it was more than just a building. It represented a turning point for the business, a moment where we went from developing on a small scale to something that could really impact people’s lives. We spent 3 years in that old factory, completely overhauling it (and winning an NZ Food Awards for Food Safety during that process). This photo below is of Maia and I, in 2019, signing the lease on our brand new, custom-specced factory that is our HQ today. Looking back, each of those milestones were the start of huge new chapters for us. We’ve come a long way since then, but the lessons we learned - about growth, risk, and resilience - are ones we still carry with us today. The Pure Food Co Pure Food Co France
A wonderful story for sure. Nice to see you earlier today.
Congratulations. That's huge. Can you impart some of the lessons you've learned - the good and the bad? I love hearing about success, but the hard graft is equally important.
Congrats Sam!
Best of luck!
Awesome guys!!
