As a marketing professional I love FMCG products and I am a sucker for a good claim, however I certainly side with the ACCC on this one. I do try to purchase home compostable packaging and I had picked this up wondering how they managed to repurpose so much ocean plastic. Then read the fine print, put it back on the shelf. If you are in marketing, watch out for #greenwashing and if you need fine print to get the correct message across then re-think what you are trying to do. And work closely with your #legalteam. 💥 This article provides a good summary if you are interested. 👇 #greenwashing #warning https://loom.ly/sqrj6b8

Don't be so negative, of course Voluntary Commitments are the best way to achieve change. We were told to stay quiet and let the big companies save us from the pollution they were profiting from. So we let the snake oil salesmen play their games and we get another headline of broken promises. On September 22, California's Governor Gavin Newsom signed a groundbreaking law that bans all plastic shopping bags in California grocery stores, set to take effect in 2026. This new legislation strengthens California’s stance against plastic pollution and aims to address the shortcomings of the original bag ban passed nearly a decade ago. Key Highlights: - Complete Ban: All plastic shopping bags, including thicker reusable ones, will be banned starting in 2026. - Paper Only: Shoppers will no longer have the option of plastic and will be offered paper bags if they don't bring their own. - Environmental Impact: This measure is expected to significantly reduce plastic waste, which has been increasing despite previous bans. State Sen. Catherine Blakespear emphasized the urgency, stating, “We are literally choking our planet with plastic waste.” Environmental groups like Oceana and the California Public Interest Research Group praised the law, highlighting its role in protecting the environment and public health. Lets talk about the word zero.🗣️🗣️ Well, how does this correlate with soluCLEAN you may ask? Let me tell you🫵🏼 Zero single use plastic✅ None of us want to add to the plastic mountain that ends up in landfill or contaminating the oceans, soluCLEAN delivers a cleaning system that reuses plastic bottles as Bottle4Life so you have nothing to throw away and have zero single use plastic at the end! Zero spill risk/chemical contact✅ When users handle chemical concentrates, it can often lead to spills or chemical contact. It is also difficult to manage how much is dosed. soluCLEAN products are encased in a soluble film that protects the users from chemical contact, stops spills and accurately controls the dosage. Zero hazard once diluted✅ If you use a concentrate, mandatory PPE will often be required for handling due to the increased hazard. For our system, if handled correctly, no PPE is required and once diluted the products carry no hazard. Simplifying your COSHH responsibilities. Zero shipping water✅ 70% of the world is water, why ship it? We don’t believe in shipping water meaning that it is only required when the product needs to be used by the end user. #sustainability #sustainablecleaning

Plastic straws pose a major threat to our environment & ecosystem. 🌎 For Earth Day 2021, AD&V launched the “¡Sin Sorbeto Por Favor!” campaign to educate & inspire the public to order their drinks without straws. 🚫🥤 We carried out this message through our social media & by placing promotional materials such as table tents with interactive QR Codes on affiliated businesses where the consumer could find information about the campaign. 🤳 The campaign aimed to reduce the use of plastic straws to protect the planet as well as marine life. The recently passed Law 51 of 2022 aligns with this goal by banning plastic straws across Puerto Rico. 🇵🇷 Ask for your drink without a straw to keep our oceans clean & safe for all marine life. 🐢 You can also click here ➡️ https://bit.ly/3WRZjeF or scan the posted QR code to learn more. 🌊 #advfirm #advcares #Law51 #SinSorbetoPorFavor #PlasticFree #Sustainability #EcoFriendly
