On September 22, California's Governor Gavin Newsom signed a groundbreaking law that bans all plastic shopping bags in California grocery stores, set to take effect in 2026. This new legislation strengthens California’s stance against plastic pollution and aims to address the shortcomings of the original bag ban passed nearly a decade ago. Plastic straws pose a major threat to our environment & ecosystem. 🌎 For Earth Day 2021, AD&V launched the “¡Sin Sorbeto Por Favor!” campaign to educate & inspire the public to order their drinks without straws. 🚫🥤 We carried out this message through our social media & by placing promotional materials such as table tents with interactive QR Codes on affiliated businesses where the consumer could find information about the campaign. 🤳 The campaign aimed to reduce the use of plastic straws to protect the planet as well as marine life.
