Thank you to TechTarget News for the interesting interview questions ... How is AI changing the health and wellness industry? Cook: I was on a panel at a University of California, San Francisco conference a month or two ago. One of the themes from that conference was that there's just not enough doctors to provide the needed care. There's a lot of other problems in the healthcare system. But even just from a demand and supply perspective, even if you could get everyone a doctor, there's just not enough of them. The way population dynamics are working, you're going to have a lot more people retiring, which means a lot of doctors will be retiring. The actual working workforce will be shrinking. But the number of people they need to support will be increasing, because retirees are living longer. Therefore, as bad as the doctor shortage might be right now, it will only get worse over the next 20 years. The way out of that problem is probably not manufacturing more doctors. It takes a great amount of time to do that. AI could well be one of the more efficient care models and is almost certainly part of the solution.

I believe AI is going to uplift human well-being. AI as a Partner in Conscious Evolution. Here’s how. We’re all striving for balance. Productivity without burnout Financial gains with well-being Yet, achieving that balance can feel hard to reach. We need to go beyond simply managing our time. → We need to manage our energy & imagination. This is how AI can help us in achieving this: 1. Reducing Burnout with Routine Task Management AI can handle repetitive tasks. This frees up time and mental space. Allowing us to focus on our creativity. Leaving us more energized and less overwhelmed. 2. Promoting Wellness with AI-Driven Reminders AI tools encourage us to take breaks, move, or meditate. Honoring natural rhythms and staying in touch with ourselves. And this is not only limited to individuals. Corporates and big organizations can benefit as well. As AI evolves, we’ll see it grow from a productivity tool to what I call an "evolutionary accelerator." Imagine this: Energy Flow Optimization: AI won’t just manage time: It will help us find our natural productivity cycles. Suggesting peak times for deep work. Creating Immersive Focus Spaces: AI-powered VR will allow us to enter states of flow. Adaptive Learning and Growth Tracking: AI systems will tailor tasks, learning materials, and wellness tips based on our individual energy & growth patterns. Here’s how to make it work for us: 1. Awareness: Use AI in ways that align with our natural rhythms. 2. Intention: Choose tools that enhance than replace our unique abilities. This approach isn’t about drawing strict lines between work and life. Instead, it’s about integrating AI in a way that naturally supports both. PS: How do you think AI will reshape human consciousness? PSS: PS: At The Passion Company, we help founders break free from the weight of fear and self-doubt by awakening their inner power, transforming their relationship with themselves so they can lead with pure passion and watch their companies soar.

On one hand, AI can automate repetitive tasks, streamline workflows, and even reduce decision fatigue. On the other hand, the pressure to adapt to new technologies, manage AI systems, and handle AI fatigue—a term used to describe the overwhelm caused by overreliance on AI tools—can be a stressor in itself. #AI #AIatWork #workplaceai

Published this article on Medium. Sharing some lessons from building an industry domain specific chatbot such as SattvaLife AI. See below for link to the article. Let me know what you think. A couple of phenomena have become evident to me after releasing the first iteration of SattvaLife Chatbot: 1. Humans are building an emotional connection with Generative AI more easily and quickly than they did with rule-based software or search engines. Until tools such as ChatGPT and Claude came onto the horizon, we were accustomed to interacting with software using keywords or short phrases. This is no longer the case. In the future we will want to express ourselves in a manner most comfortable to us, and we will expect AI and non-AI software to understand us and reciprocate accordingly. 2. Before an AI can answer our questions or address our concerns in any aspect of life, it needs to first understand what we are communicating and the intent and context behind our communication. From a technical standpoint, Natural Language Understanding is equally important as Natural Language Generation. AI-based solution developers can benefit significantly from applying the concept of first principles to human communication and social connections, just as we do in science and technology. By addressing at its core how humans share information, understand each other, and foster connection, we can build AI tools that will enable effective and authentic interactions with humans.

Is it just me? Or is anyone else finding it refreshing to see solutions taking their time to be developed in #healthcare? One recent example that might be surprising comes from Thrive AI Health who are trying to build a behavioral change assistant based on generative #AI. The ambition was announced in the middle of this year and there were several posts about it. Now a demo seems to have been uncovered that shows the progress. The article below is a nice summary but clearly implies there were higher expectations from the demo. So, they wanted to see the solution released faster? The challenges associated with such a chatbot from security and regulatory requirements are formidable, not even touching yet on the fundamental challenge of helping people change behaviors. So, please take your time. Rather release a product that works than releasing it fast.

Have you considered the mental health and wellbeing effects of AI? I hadn't either .. until I read Helen Cook's article. Helen Chief People and Communications Officer at Finastra shared an interesting perspective on how using AI tools for more basic tasks can lead to a shift in people's own sense of satisfaction, productivity and efficiency, as they're only left with highly complexed tasks. This can lead to: 📈 Increase in stress levels as people are only processing highly complex tasks and more frequently as the world of business moves faster and faster where humans try to keep up with the AI pace of change A few things we can do to mitigate these risks: ❤ Educate and encourage leaders to understand the importance of their own wellbeing e.g. eating well, sleeping, taking regular breaks, exercise etc. with the aim of having a healthy, more engaged, motivated workforce 🤝🏻 Encourage leaders to support their team with honesty and humility ~ we're all in this so we need to respond with empathy and encourage test and learn approaches as it may take some time for us to adjust We're at the forefront as AI and human capability become interdependent and to be able to cope we need to adapt our practices and work life balance as 💥 it's coming whether we like it or not!! 💥 Thanks for sharing your interesting perspective Helen - it really got me thinking differently. #aiwellbeing #mentalhealth #wellbeing #finastra
