SmartRecruiters and Human Capital Institute (HCI) and Staffing Industry Analysts looked at recent “trends and challenges in strategic human capital management” (aka Hiring!). After reviewing the report and data, is it ok for us to have a discussion with an executive search professional to effectively resolve the challenges companies face?? Seems to me... Interesting data – 60% of business leaders globally worry that they’ve hired the wrong person. 5% of business leaders spend more than half their working hours on talent acquisition tasks. Six months after hiring, 60% of business leaders feel confident in less than half of their hires, while 34% remain unsure about hiring decisions. 56% of business leaders reported talent acquisition has grown more complex in recent years with the rise of digital nomads, remote workers and international employees. 93% of companies are struggling to find enough candidates in this market, compared to 55% of high-performing companies. As companies look to grow, the labor shortage has impacted business operations and success. Currently, 75% of companies are continuing their investment or increasing their investment in recruitment marketing. Yet, 60% of companies do not have enough resources on their talent acquisition team to support recruitment marketing efforts. 67% of companies do not have a dedicated role for recruitment marketing. Inefficient hiring practices are hindering growth The latest Talent Acquisition report by SmartRecruiters unveils an urgent issue: inefficient hiring practices are creating a significant bottleneck in business growth. Despite increased investment, leaders in the UK, North America, and Australia struggle with confidence in their recruitment decisions. Shockingly, 45% of leaders spend over half their working hours on talent acquisition, distracting them from core operations.
