I am thrilled to have completed another program on my Online Executive Certificate journey at IMD Business School. Digital Transformation in Practice ✔️ This powerful program equipped me with state-of-the-art know-how to accelerate my organization's digital transformation and provided practical solutions to concrete digital implementation challenges. Over five modules and in a very diverse and international group of more than 30 participants, we opened our minds and worked intensively on the following questions. 🏗️ How to set up for success: We learned to create a clear and powerful digital transformation goal, adopt strategies to align the top team, build urgency into the transformation, and develop effective funding mechanisms. 🧭 How to align everyone around value: We discussed how to get your board on board, choose the right governance model, make IT and digital work together seamlessly, and leverage digital tools and technologies. 🗺️ How to define value options: We looked at managing partnerships and building ecosystems, how to manage digital in a responsible and sustainable way, and how to leverage digital to move from products to services and solutions and build a balanced portfolio of digital initiatives. 🛫 How to drive value: We learned how to become an effective digital leader and understand how to make the role of digital leader a success, develop approaches to build digital capabilities within our organization, and adopt a digital mindset. 🚦 How to sustain value delivery: We discovered how to effectively take digital initiatives from inception to scale, use different approaches to measure the performance of those initiatives, and identify the steps needed to transform into a digital business. 📢 This week, we had the privilege of hosting Matthew Byrom, Head of Business Excellence & Quality Management at Siemens GB&I, here at Manchester Metropolitan University Business School for an insightful guest lecture on digital transformation in operations.   Matthew shared valuable perspectives on combining low-code platforms, artificial intelligence, and lean office methodologies to drive business impact.
