We’re very excited to share that Pacific Blue’s 60-megawatt Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in Clements Gap, South Australia is one of only six projects selected for the Australian Government’s #CapacityInvestmentScheme. Located next to Pacific Blue’s existing wind farm, the 60-megawatt BESS will provide a duration of approximately 140 megawatt hours — equivalent to powering 20,000 households for two hours in South Australia. We’re proud to deliver projects like Clements Gap BESS that will contribute to a more reliable, affordable and low-emissions energy system, and we’re thrilled to welcome the Australian Government’s support in realising our 2-gigawatt pipeline of capacity and energy storage solutions to help empower Australia’s #CleanEnergyFuture. https://bit.ly/3XtHzrj #AustralianRenewables #RenewableEnergy #CleanEnergy #CleanEnergyFuture #CapacityInvestmentScheme

Queensland government-owned service provider, Powerlink operates the state’s primary electricity network, managing 1700 km of high-voltage transmission lines and substations to serve five million Queenslanders and 238,000 businesses. The cornerstone of the QLD government’s $62 billion plans is SuperGrid, which aims to deliver 50% renewable energy by 2030, 70% by 2032, and 80% by 2035. These ambitious goals illustrate why Queensland's status as a leading region for renewable energy zones, encouraging investment in solar, wind, battery, and hydrogen projects. It’s encouraging to see significant investment into renewable energy, the digitalisation of state-owned services, and more talent to support Powerlink’s growth. Do you think SuperGrid can achieve 70% renewable energy by 2032? #renewableenergy #sustainability #renewables

This Earth Day, I wanted to share the progress we've made at Arizona Public Service - APS in bringing cost-competitive clean energy resources online to serve Arizona. During the past four years, we have procured nearly 5,000 megawatts of new clean energy and storage. In 2023, we added 448 MW of clean energy to the APS electric system, including the Agave Solar Plant, and nine energy storage systems that provide about 200 MW of power, enough to serve 32,000 Arizona homes for three to four hours daily. We also issued an All-Source Request for Proposal for an additional 1,000 MWs of reliable capacity, including at least 700 MWs of renewable energy. Combined with other renewables and the Palo Verde Generating Station , the largest source of carbon-free energy currently in the U.S., APS is already 51% clean. Our customers know they can count on us to power their lives and businesses. We’ll continue to provide the excellent service our customers have come to expect by making responsible, necessary investments to ensure reliability, maintain affordability and secure a clean, balanced energy supply. #EarthDay #CleanEnergy #IWorkatAPS

Exciting news for the future of #RenewableEnergy in Texas! Canadian Solar and SunRaycer are partnering to provide 315 MWh of #BatteryEnergyStorage and 2 GWp of #SolarModules. These will enhance the resilience and reliability of the Texan energy network. Yet, the crucial question remains - Do businesses truly recognize the role of energy storage in the overall renewable energy equation? The overlooked pain-point is that even with enough solar or wind power, without efficient energy storage, we risk energy shortfall during the less sunny/windy periods. Think about it; if we miss capitalizing on energy storage, are we fully harnessing the power of renewable energy? From my in-depth industry experience, developing and managing practical and efficient storage solutions can be the game-changing factor. Do you see energy storage being overlooked in your renewable energy projects? What methods have you deployed to ensure optimal utilization of accumulated energy? Remember, every piece of the renewable energy puzzle is essential. Don't let the power slip through your fingers. Follow for more insights. Share these crucial conversations within your network. #RenewablePower #GreenEnergy #EnergyStorage

Member Form Energy has been selected by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to deploy an 85 MW/8500 MWh multi-day battery system in Maine, aimed at enhancing grid reliability and clean #energy in the region. Under the Power Up New England initiative, designed to improve grid interconnection between Massachusetts and Connecticut, the DOE has awarded Maine $147 million to build the battery system at a former paper mill in Lincoln. Form Energy will develop the 85-megawatt storage facility using iron-air technology, designed to enhance the #sustainability of New England’s electric grid while enabling continuous energy #discharge for over four days. “The project will ensure a more reliable, clean, and affordable grid in New England by reducing transmission congestion and making valuable wind energy resources available when and where they are needed,” said Mateo Jaramillo, CEO and Co-Founder of Form Energy. This grant is part of a broader $389 million investment in regional electric infrastructure, which will prepare Massachusetts and Connecticut for up to 4,800 megawatts of additional offshore wind energy. The #Time4Action is now to ensure #3xRenewables by 2030. To learn more, click below:

📢 I’m speaking at RE-Source Southeast 2024 – the largest event dedicated to sourcing renewable energy in Southeast Europe. On #May 15-16th, 2024 in #Sofia, we explore the latest insights on PPA trends, financing options, market prices volatility, grid challenges and flexibility solutions! As wind and solar energy continues to rise at an unprecedented speed in the electricity generation landscape, challenges like curtailments and low prices are being felt throughout the industry. Simultaneously, battery energy storage systems (#BESS) are rapidly advancing, mirroring the potential growth trajectory of wind and solar, and are poised to accelerate the energy transition. However, the complexity of the BESS revenues can make the players to hesitate in speeding the BESS development. In my presentation, I’ll try to address some of the concerns behind profitability of BESS, followed by a panel discussion with some of industry experts such as Martin Georgiev – CEO of National Electricity Company (NEK), Lucia Dólera, business developer manager of Jinko Solar, Simon Sinsel, global head of BESS sales from Siemens Energy, and Michal Kalousek, chairman of the executive board from Photomate. We will discuss how storage can enhance the value of renewable energy assets and strategies for ensuring the quality of BESS procurement. Looking forward to the event to be charged 🔋 and powered ⚡ with great discussions! APSTE - Association for Production, Storage and Trading of Electricity #RystadEnergy #EnergyStorage
