I recently spoke with Ravi Kurani about the impact of recent fires on water quality here in Los Angeles. With the Palisades & Eaton fires, many regions went under “boil water” or “do not drink” advisories due to contamination risks (like benzene from melted PVC pipes). This conversation hit close to home for me because at Spout, we’re all about creating clean drinking water from the air. Think of it like a coffee-maker sized device that generates safe water right on your kitchen counter. My own journey started with a water crisis on my parents’ California farm, and it’s evolved into helping families and communities prepare for challenges like these. If you’re curious about how technology can address water scarcity and contamination—or you just want a clearer picture of what’s really in our water—check out the full chat on YouTube: https://lnkd.in/gcg2drsH Stay safe and stay hydrated!
Water testing is too slow. Reuben Vollmer and I talk about water and it’s relation to the LA fires. With the recen Pallisades & Eaton fires, a lot of the region was put on “boil water” or “do not drink” advisories. Why? Because when PVC pipes melt, they release benzene, and you don’t want to drink that. It was a timely conversation on the supply of water & the implications of the fire on our water supply and how we got here. Reuben is the CEO of Spout, that creates clean drinking water from air. It’s a kitchen accessory, about the size of an air fryer. His vision and mission started with a water crisis on his parents farm in California.
👏
We need your technology Reuben! So grateful to see Spout is out and about!
