🌟 Decisions That Empower 🌟 A cancer diagnosis brings with it fear, confusion, and an overwhelming need for clarity—whether it’s early-stage or advanced cancer. At Cancer Help Desk, we understand that navigating these decisions can feel impossible without the proper guidance and tools. That’s why we’re so proud to partner with PreludeDx to bring advanced diagnostics like DCISionRT to the patients who need them most. 💡 What’s the impact? With DCISionRT, patients diagnosed with DCIS (ductal carcinoma in situ) gain access to personalized insights about their risk of recurrence and the potential benefits of radiation therapy. Combined with the expertise of our oncology nurse navigation team, patients and their caregivers can move from uncertainty to informed, confident decisions in both testing and treatment. ✨ The result? 1. Reduced fear and confusion during a critical time. 2. Improved trust in treatment decisions based on science and guidance. 3. Empowerment to take control with clarity and confidence. This collaboration with PreludeDx exemplifies how advanced diagnostics, partnered with expert navigation, can transform cancer care. Together, we enable patients to make informed decisions that lead to better outcomes and a stronger trust in their care team. 📩 Let’s work together. If you’re an industry leader, healthcare professional, or patient advocate looking to collaborate with a team that bridges the complexities of cancer care with oncology nurse navigation, we’d love to collaborate. Don't let this photo scare you. ❤️❤️❤️ It was taken during the Showing Up: Perspectives On Cancer In-Person Event last year. Why would I show you such a crazy photo? It's because what's happening in this photo are relationships forming between cancer patients, survivors and supporters. And, yes, we're having fun! The 2024 Showing Up: Perspectives On Cancer is coming up on Oct. 5 & 6, and if you sign up now, you get 50% off. Just register using promo code NYC at https://lnkd.in/eGyvRRaY. If you're a cancer patient, survivor or supporter (caregiver, oncology nurse, oncologist, mental health professional, etc...), don't miss out on this event! We share our stories & relate to each other, get inspired by our amazing lineup of speakers, have fun & best of all, we become family. Many of our previous attendees have collaborated, become friends & more. Let me know in the chat - what is your connection to cancer? PS We are still looking for people to help financially support the event as sponsors (direct message me) as well as GoFundMe: https://gofund.me/f74c0e37. So far, we have raised enough money to give $200 to three cancer patients or survivors to put toward travel expenses. #showingup #perspectivesoncancer #cancerpatients #cancersurvivors #cancersupporters #healing #hope #resilience

Did you know? Childhood cancer is the #1 disease-related cause of death in children, yet for over a decade, it has received just 4% of the National Cancer Institute's funding on average. The current pediatric healthcare system is slow, isolated, and fragmented. We know, because we have experienced it ourselves. Every child deserves a chance at a brighter future, with treatments tailored to their needs. Together, we can advocate for change and fund the breakthroughs kids need to survive and thrive. 🎗️ Learn more and Light the Fight: beatcc.org/give Source: Coalition Against Childhood Cancer (CAC2) #beatchildhoodcancer #beatchildhoodcancerfoundation #lightthefight #childhoodcancer #childhoodcancerawareness #nonprofit #nonprofitorganization

Welcome September! For this month, A Free Bird is eager to spread the word about Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. For children, cancer diagnosis and treatment can turn their lives upside down, and it is easy to feel overwhelmed by the sudden and rapid changes. We are also dedicated to spreading awareness for several important causes, including Leukemia & Lymphoma, Ovarian, Prostate, Thyroid, and Uterine Cancer. The color of the month is gold, which signifies strength, courage, and resilience. It's often associated with triumph and illumination, making it a fitting symbol for Childhood Cancer Awareness month! Here at A Free Bird Organization, we believe that art and creative expression can be a powerful source of healing for all children affected by cancer. We want to provide these brave young cancer warriors with a comforting space where they can relax and explore their inner talents. In addition, we are also celebrating the venerable art of literature this month! Countless cultures across the world have books written in their own languages, and with the advancement of technology, it has never been easier to appreciate and expand one's literary scope than today. Reading is also an excellent source of inspiration and knowledge, especially for developing future artists. September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month 🎗️ This month, we shine a light on the courage and strength of young warriors battling cancer. At WINKS, we're committed to supporting not just brain tumor patients but also the families of children facing cancer. Did you know? Pediatric brain tumors are the leading cause of cancer-related death among children and adolescents ages 0-19 years. In 2023, an estimated 5,230 new cases of primary brain tumors in children and adolescents are diagnosed in the US. Despite advances in treatment, many survivors face long-term effects, highlighting the critical need for ongoing support and research. Our mission at WINKS is to provide compassionate support and essential resources through our Brain Tumor Power Packs and Encouraging Nods Support Group. We also offer our Empathy in Action grants to families to help with living expenses and other critical needs during treatment.
