It's impossible to find one mentor for everything. I believe in assembling a personal advisory board. Here's what mine looks like: - [friend in strategy at F500] for work and life advice - [former Lyft exec] for execution - [3x founder] for strategy and surviving the rollercoaster - [former investor] for market landscape - [exec coach] for exec coaching stuff - [many founder friends] for specific domains - [climbing coach] for climbing, training What does your advisory board look like?

Q1 was about setting the vision Q2 was about refining and honest decisions Q3 was about building momentum And Q4.... Q4 is about sophistication and doubling-down on success I heard someone say "progress becomes the default when you are on your path". Scaling Legacy Builder is 20% upskilling, mentorship, and strategy, and 80% figure-it-out-ability. Clifton and I have some amazing plans in the coming months, stay tuned (We've been in the lab) All eyes on Q4

𝙄𝙛 𝙮𝙤𝙪’𝙧𝙚 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙫𝙖𝙡𝙪𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙨𝙢𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙬𝙞𝙣𝙨, 𝙮𝙤𝙪’𝙧𝙚 𝙙𝙤𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙞𝙩 𝙬𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙜. It’s surprising how often we overlook the significance of small wins. We tend to focus on grand successes, forgetting that small victories are often the stepping stones to something bigger. For me, I’ve learned that celebrating small wins—both for myself and the people I work with—can make a world of difference. Whether it’s hitting a tight deadline, overcoming a tough challenge, or even just finding the courage to speak up in a meeting, these moments deserve to be recognized. In fact, I try to make it a point to call out these small wins in my team because I’ve seen how much it boosts morale and creates momentum. And I do the same for myself—taking a moment to pause, reflect, and appreciate progress, no matter how small, keeps me motivated. What’s a small win you’ve had recently that deserves a little more recognition? 💬 Brendon Burchard

https://lnkd.in/dBT49U2j Reflecting on Tim Grover’s interview has me thinking about resilience in project management and Agile teams. Grover talks about "bringing your darkness"—facing the uncomfortable and leveraging it to your advantage. In project management, this resonates strongly: Agile projects often require diving into complex, ambiguous situations. Just like visiting our “darkness” helps us adapt, facing difficult decisions in Agile helps teams rise to meet challenges head-on, transforming them into opportunities for growth. Grover also emphasizes choosing with the mind, not emotions. This is essential in Agile frameworks, where each decision is intentional, guided by clear objectives rather than temporary feelings. Intentionality behind every decision, every daily stand-up, every sprint goal. Coming from someone who coached Jordan and Kobe, Grover has an idea of what it takes to perform at the highest levels of excellence. It’s about consistently choosing hard work and persistence, and surrounding yourself with people who push you to new heights. What dreams, big enough to scare you, could reshape how you approach your career? And what uncomfortable steps can you take to move closer to them? #socialnetworking #keepnetworking #projectmanagement #pmo #business #data #analytics #management #future #worksmarter #career #stoicism #timgrover #diaryofaceo #stevenbartlett

6moHello, Product Hunt is treating us unfairly! Despite having more votes than others, you're not putting us on the home page, and we're also the only ones without a rank assigned, and no one is helping us! This is not a fair play principle that you preach.
