We added a new position in Light & Wonder in the Oracle Emerging Companies Portfolio. The company traces its history in 1917 to Autotote. In 2000, Autotote bought Scientific Games Holdings Corp., a maker of instant lottery equipment, which was ultimately re-branded to Light & Wonder in March 2022. Light and Wonder recently reduced its debt by selling its lottery and sports betting businesses, now focusing solely on physical and online slot machines. With new management, largely composed of former Aristocrat executives, the company has shifted from a sales-driven to a Research and development-focused strategy, similar to Aristocrat's path to global leadership. We believe LNW is in a strong position to capture market share, enhancing its second-place standing behind Aristocrat.
