Last week we celebrated the opening ceremony #UN International Year of Quantum #IYQ. It was fun to see old colleagues and make new friends, and it was uplifting and inspiring to hear from not one, not two, but three Nobel Laureates (oh yeah!). As fun, uplifting and inspirational the trip was, I'm blogging about the importance of the role of international organizations like the United Nations and UNESCO. Deeptech doesn't only belong to the companies creating products and services, it also belongs to the tax payers and voters, people of different backgrounds, different genders and identities. The international community needs to be awake and aware early enough to steer these technologies into the right direction.
