Recently, my perspective has shifted, AI tools have become so intuitive that doctors don’t need to be tech experts anymore. They can focus on their specialty while getting a boost from their silicon-based assistant. It’s amazing how intuitive these tools are becoming! Take Modella AI’s #digitalpathology decision support software, for example. With its ChatGPT-style interface, it feels familiar and easy to use, making AI a natural part of the workflow. I’m curious how pathologists feel about integrating tools like this into their workflow. At the end of the day, #adoption always speaks louder than #opinions. Let’s see how it plays out!

New preprint from our ML team on our approach for developing a foundation model tailored to address the unique aspects of computational pathology. Check out all the good details in the arXiv preprint: https://lnkd.in/ecF5cmsf
Today, we shared our pre-print describing our new Foundation Model, PLUTO, to fuel #drugdevelopment & #cancerresearch for fast, efficient, and powerful representation of #pathology images. This model was developed and trained on a broad, highly diverse dataset using novel self-supervised training and can be adapted to handle a wide range of pathology tasks at different scales. Read the publication: https://lnkd.in/ewkaGj3D #FoundationModels usher in a new era of #MachineLearning and allow the development of new AI products that are able to tackle a wide diversity of tasks with state-of-the-art performance. PLUTO builds on this with an approach and capabilities tailored to computational pathology, resulting in a model that is better, faster, and more efficient to deploy. The PathoLogy Universal TransfOrmer (PLUTO) is a foundation model trained on a diverse dataset composed of: - Nearly 200 million “image” patches collected from >150,000 whole slide images - >4 million pathologist annotations to ensure high-quality data and guide image sampling across a wide diversity of substances - Over 30+ disease areas and numerous histologies - Multiple scanners, magnifications, stains, and sources of the data By enabling data- and compute-efficient computational pathology workflows, PLUTO accelerates building #AI powered pathology tools for multiple scales and resolutions to meet the growing needs of researchers, clinicians, and patients.

✅ "I am planning to purchase the treatment for GA in AMD, and I've heard that Altris AI will be the best tool to monitor and measure changes over time. Is this true?" 100% true. Altris AI Progression Analysis Module gives the most accurate answer to the question: "How a pathology was changing over time" If you want to see this module in action or test it during 14 days of free trial, book a short presentation with Mark Braddon or Eugene Shlonchak

Enhance your Image Analysis studies with automated exclusions of artefacts! 🔍 In Image Analysis (IA), image quality control is a pivotal step to ensure accurate results. For example, if you’re working with prostate tissue, you might have encountered corpora amilacea, small amyloid concretions that can hinder accurate positive cell detection. ✨ What if you can exclude these ’artefacts’ effortlessly? Implementing Deep Learning models by @Visiopharm, we can automatically identify and exclude multiple look-alike artefacts and avoid wasting time on tedious manual exclusions! The HistologiX IA workflow is designed to save time and increase accuracy to ensure scalability and faster turnaround times! 🎤 Let’s Connect! We’re attending the Digital Pathology Conference in London on 11th and 12th December. Let’s network, share ideas and explore how our image analysis services can support your projects. We’d love to chat! Want to know more? #UnlockOurExpertise 📩 [email protected] #DigiPathLondon #imageQC #deeplearning #imageanalysis #digitalpathology #visiopharm #histologix
