CEO and Founder at Equ Healthcare | Advancing neurosymbolic AI in digital healthcare | Researcher at MIT CSAIL

Alexandr Wang, CEO of ScaleAI and an MIT alumnus, recently shared a powerful framework on the future of AI, emphasizing reasoning as the next big milestone. At Equ Healthcare, we believe the path to achieving this in healthcare lies in neuro-symbolic AI, particularly through program synthesis in programming languages, an area where our research at MIT has led to groundbreaking work. Program synthesis allows AI to bridge human intent and machine execution, enabling systems to reason, learn, and integrate expert knowledge—essential for solving complex challenges in healthcare. We’re building systems that combine the best of data-driven AI and symbolic reasoning to create truly intelligent tools for clinicians. The next phase of AI isn’t just bigger models—it’s smarter systems that work alongside experts to deliver real-world impact. We’re excited to be at the forefront of this transformation. Interesting thoughts, though I'd seen papers on neural scaling laws that see an an inverse exponential performance benefit as the dataset, model size and compute increase - that's a bit at odds with the optimistic exponential upswing on the purple sector. Not to say AI can't improve areas of healthcare but general graphs like this are a bit optimistic! https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/other/openai-reportedly-facing-issues-with-its-new-ai-model-is-a-red-flag-for-the-entire-industry/ar-AA1tWuS4
