Lately I have been thinking about the science of #entrepreneurship. Despite countless MBA books and articles, the most valuable learning comes from hands-on experience and shared insights from fellow #founders. Last Thursday I attended Court Lorenzini's FounderNexus event and learned first hand through breakout discussions with other entrepreneurs, lessons that came from shared experiences as founders. And as an added bonus, Joe Heitzeberg shared his inspiring entrepreneurship journey. Here are my take aways: 1. Chase #demand. First time founders spend a lot of time on product and perfecting this. Experienced founders spend time testing who will pay, and how to get to them. 2. Strategically hire. Gururaj Pandurangi, Darian Parrish, and Court talked about the importance of hiring the first #sales person after founders can create a repeatable process for selling. 3. Tailored sales and marketing wins. Matt Hocking, Abid Ali Mohammed, Arthur Baranovskiy discussed various #B2B vs #B2C sales tactics. Create an #audience and measure insights constantly through website, content creation, and event workshops, for example. The energy was electric against #Seattle's beautiful evening backdrop. For second time founders seeking this caliber of community and insight, I highly recommend connecting with FounderNexus – they're creating invaluable spaces for entrepreneurs to learn and grow together. #founders #startups #lessonslearned #entrepreneurship

💯 - both my MBA and MBA books aren't even close to the worth of my founder network.

I'm so glad we had a chance to chat! I agree - your network, and the knowledge in it, bests any literature on earth. See you next month!
