𝘼𝙪𝙩𝙤-𝙊𝙋𝙎 introduces a novel security evaluation framework that automates the Optical Probing (OP) attack in simulation on a full GDS-II design file. It enables designers to assess the security and robustness of a design against OP by automatically extracting the active regions of each logic cell. Yesterday, Presto Engineering’s CEO, Cedric Mayor, hosted a conference at Embedded World on the topic “Going ASIC – Myth or Dream?”. During this conference, Cédric delved into why ASIC represents the convergence of the best of both worlds - System on Board and System in Package. The Twelve Days of Techmas - the 12 most significant commercial Tech developments since 1960. Number 1 – The first commercially available Transistor. Fairchild's first marketed transistor was the 1958 2N697, a mesa transistor developed by Moore, and it was a success. The first batch of 100 was sold to IBM for $150 apiece in order to build the computer for the B-70 bomber. The numbering convention was 2Nxxx were transistors and 1Nxxx were diodes and adopted by the industry.

The 2024 RISC-V Taipei Day was held along with DVCon Taiwan 2024 from September 10 - 11. The event featured speakers representing local and international industry experts who shared their insights on the trends and developments of RISC-V over the years. One of the speakers was Ted Spears, technical fellow of Microchip Technology Inc.. He discussed the future of computer architecture with RISC-V, emphasizing #RISCV's open, flexible ISA.
