What do you think Should we organize the Belgium Impact Startup Awards? 🥇🥈🥉 You know I’m into bridging the gap between #startups / #scaleups and large corporations! 🤝 Following the first successful Edition of the Speed Scaling, we received a specific yet very inspiring feedback from the Corporates: “we want to meet more startups!”. Together with BE.IMPACT and TheMerode, we thought about it. 1️⃣ How to make more startups pitch in front of large corporations? 2️⃣ How to make sure that they are relevant to these large corporations current sustainability challenges? We quickly stumbled upon the idea of Awards. 🏆 Making more potential matches is our goal in order to have a more positive impact on our ecosystem. What’s your take on that matter? How should we do it? Just comment👇 📝 Let's scale it up! 👏 #startups #scaleups #buildingbridges
I think it's a brilliant idea ! I would design different themes directly based on subject that corporates want to innovate on and add a "outsider" theme which regroup all the start-ups having an important impact that do not go inside the themes selected by the corporates in order to bring them various and unexpected innovations ⚡️
It exists, Trends is doing it https://trendsimpactawards.be/en/home_en/ but highlighting on startups / scaleups is always a good thing ;)
Do it. I’m all in. I will try day and night. I will pitch every day for as many days as there are between now and the day of the final of those awards. And I will give it all that day too. Let’s do this.
Any award is a good idea and draws attention to nominees and winners.
Sure you should! I love the idea, it's seems like the perfect combination to bridge that gap but also significantly boost visibility for promising startups 🤩
The BE.IMPACT team is smiling as they see all the enthusiasm surrounding this new initiative aimed at recognizing the impact of Belgian startups with all the hard work they've put in!
Getting to know more Belgian startups and their ability to better pitch and sell their products and services to corporates. Yes, of course
Interesting idea and i think it has to be small groups and specific area of interest and everything should be discussed in advance with investors How often do you plan to do it Nicolas Debray ?

9moOne thing I'm afraid of is focusing solely on revolutionary solutions. It seems to me that all start-ups with a simple but different approach to their field, one that has a positive influence on society, should be put in the spotlight. A complementary idea could be to create a platform for presenting start-ups with an impact, which would facilitate exchanges and meetings with large companies.
