Energy is not just cables and KWh. It brings together people and regions; touching diplomacy, development and much more 🌍 . A good example is Azerbaijan, host of the COP29 (top conference on climate change) and promoter of a cross-regional power cable of 1000+ km to connect the Caspian region (where the wind blows) to Europe (where the clean power is needed) through the Black Sea (2000+ meters deep ⬇). Thanks to energy minister Parviz Shahbazov for his visit to CESI and for trusting us to participate in the Caspian-BlackSea-Europe Green Corridor. A few years ago this interconnection would have been a dream, too far and too challenging. Today the techology is ready and this vision can 🔜 become a reality. The energy transition continues... #energytransition #COP29 #power #interconnectors #CESI
Looking forward to this!

7moAn additional challenge was added 2 years ago: People don't want to be dependent on politically unstable countries. Energetically and economically, autarchy doesn't make sense. Add the political component and you completely reverse this.
