As I continue to research & learning into sustainability & renewable energy I wanted to share a great explainer on how our electric grid(s) work. Quite simply, it is amazing that the lights come on without fail when we flip a light switch. Electric fleets are key to decarbonizing the logistics and transportation sectors, as highlighted by a recent Rhodium Group report titled "Fueling a Transition Away from Fossil." Currently, transportation fuel consumption is predominantly based on fossil fuels, accounting for 95%, making it a significant source of greenhouse gas emissions, second only to the power and industry sectors. The shift towards electric vehicles (EVs), replacing traditional gasoline and diesel models, marks a pivotal step towards accelerating this transition. At Macaw Energies, we are introducing a pioneering Flare Capture Technology set to produce LIQUIDLARE, an LNG fuel, powering Offgrid Superchargers. This initiative is particularly focused on the electrification of medium and heavy-duty vehicles, offering a solution with a lower Carbon Intensity compared to the conventional grid in several US states.
