4 years in, we’re proud to announce Camber (formerly Juniper), with $50M in funding from a16z, Craft Ventures, YCombinator, Manresa Ventures, and many other amazing supporters. My first exposure to personal healthcare goes back to my speech therapy sessions growing up, in which I remember practicing my Rs by reading a storybook that featured a roaring lion and the toy keychain rewarded to me after a challenging session. I didn’t realize it at the time, but the experience was incredibly formative for me personally — and previewed how deeply healthcare providers can change lives. Many years later, I’m incredibly proud of how we’ve built technology that lets healthcare providers simply focus on delivering care. Turns out that it’s easier said than done — but after 4 years of work, it’s been fulfilling to have powered billing and payments that cover ~90,000 patients across the US and growing. Just as importantly, we’ve served clinics as small as 8 providers and as large as 8,000, and saved multiple clinics from bankruptcy. Christophe, Celina, and Jade, it’s hard to imagine anyone else being on this rollercoaster ride with me.
