The blind leading the blind... This quote 🤣: "Physicians probably can't give you a good definition of what exactly it means, including these physicians that are tasked with converting their practices from fee-for-service to value-based care," I mean....for real I literally cannot think of worse way to do this Let's take the most financially-vested organization in the industry and have them lead the charge on initiatives that would take billions away from them.... Just another day in this insane healthcare environment we're living in #Healthcare #business #finance #strategy #benefits #insurance
My favorite... "It was also crucial to success for the program to marry the financial and payment-focused content with lessons on leadership, he said. Making that work was a "big win" for the initial course, Satin said." 😅 😅 😅
When industry giants (whether its carriers or PBMs) who’ve enriched themselves using our current healthcare system claim they are invested in transforming the way healthcare is financed and delivered, I actually believe them. However, that “investment” is focused on how they can co-opt any advancements into new profit streams. What’s UnitedHealth Groups most recent share price again?
Somehow, me thinks if VBC is going to cost the insurers money, they wouldn't be participating in it. The advertised way VBC works and the real way it works are likely two different paths. Either way, I'm not going to be a fan.
Great
