Who am I at my core? How am I being perceived? How would I like to be perceived? As a speaker myself I love watching TED Conferences TEDx Watching this talk really made me think and reflect on these questions. I believe we all care a lot about how we’re being perceived. But are we doing anything about it? In the workplace it’s very important to build a personal brand for yourself. So before posting anything on LinkedIn, ask yourself these questions: Who are you at your core? How are you being perceived? How would you like to be perceived?

This! I don’t know if I’d say I’m a late bloomer because I’ve enjoyed every chapter. But I will say chapters don’t have to end. This book continues! #keepgrowing #keepreaching #nomatterhowlong #lifeisshort #livelovebloom

Mercy Maina, MPRSK , one of our team members, recently wrapped up reading "A Year of Yes" by Shonda Rhimes. 📗📔 Here are some key takeaways that resonated with her:✒️ 1. Saying "yes" can lead to unexpected adventures and personal growth, encouraging us to step out of our comfort zones. 2. Rhimes highlights how fear often holds us back. By facing it head-on, we can unlock new possibilities and experiences. 3. Being true to ourselves is essential; success comes from embracing our unique voices and stories. 4. Balancing self-care and family with career ambitions is vital for maintaining overall well-being. 5. Sharing our struggles can create deeper connections with others, both personally and professionally. 6. Acknowledging our accomplishments, no matter how small, helps build confidence and cultivate a positive mindset. As we reflect on these lessons, let’s challenge ourselves to say "yes" to new opportunities, embrace our authentic selves, and foster connections that inspire growth. Here’s to a year of possibilities and adventures ahead! ✨

My friend Vivienne Khatundi celebrated her 10th Anniversary at work as a public servant and she was looking forward to calling it a journey and looking forward to new paths. She shared valuable insights and lessons that she has gained over the past years. Here's a summary: 1.Find Your WHY: Understanding your purpose is crucial in public service; if your motivation is solely financial, this field may not be for you. 2. Listening Skills: Cultivate the ability to listen and show kindness in a competitive work environment. 3.Skill Sharing: Be consistent in your abilities and open to teaching others, avoiding selfishness and boastfulness. 4. Balance Life: Don't let work define you; ensure that your personal life is equally valued and nurtured. 5. Expect Realistic Loyalty: Don’t assume loyalty from colleagues; it's unfair to put this expectation on them. 6. Grace in Relationships: Allow colleagues to be just that, and be prepared to extend grace when conflicts arise. 7. Morals and Values: Make decisions based on strong morals and values, especially in professional settings. 8. Transmitting Grace: Extend empathy and kindness, as everyone is deserving of grace, regardless of their circumstances. 9. Privacy at Work: Maintain boundaries by keeping personal information private to protect yourself. 10. White Hat Ethics: Strive to be admirable and honorable in public service by embodying goodness. My summary may not have done justice to the whole text as I have only highlighted it. Read more on her blogspot https://lnkd.in/da4KRgvf I wholeheartedly wish her all the best, along with God's blessings and favor. And every morning, I encourage you to wear that white hat. In a world filled with possibilities, always choose to be kind.
