Blast from the past. I've always had a great deal of appreciation and respect for Jim Randle and all the team members of the saturday club who developed the XJ220. I'm not usually a fan of long cars with high speed potential (so, don't pub talk me about your new Chiron or Speedtail). However this car was always very TWR cool, in the way that only Tom Walkinshaw's outfit could prepare a car. Sure, it didn't include a V12 or 4WD or rear-wheel steering but if you like strong thrills, this car out accelerates modern Pagani Zondas. Turbo lag (as is the case also for an EB110 as well) or indeed modest low-down torque (as is the case for an F50) means one thing: get ready to do lots of gearchanges!
