Sven is so right here. GenAI is much more than Knowledge ChatBots. Yet, many GenAI applications we see and help build use similar concepts to what ChatBots do: Accessing structured information to make sense of it, or to make sense of new, incoming data. The main thing is to see the opportunity. Often times, I recognize in discussions that our human brains are still not wired in a way that a "Hey, GenAI could help make this process more efficient" or "Hey, why don't we introduce GenAI here in this process to do more than it did before" comes to mind easily. Sometimes, those opportunities are just beneath the surface and could be "quick wins" for many processes and businesses. Happy to have open discussions about ideas and challenges.

Mit generativer künstlicher Intelligenz die Zukunft der #Telekommunikation gestalten: Unter diesem Motto haben sich 50 Kolleg:innen von o2 Telefónica Germany, Google und Celfocus zum „Google Cloud AI Event“ in München getroffen. Mit Expert:innen haben sie über Anwendungsfälle diskutiert. Beispielsweise ging es darum, wie sich Kundenanliegen mit Hilfe von generativer künstlicher Intelligenz schneller lösen lassen oder wie es gelingt, den Arbeitsaufwand bei Datenmigrationsprojekten zwischen verschiedenen Ökosystemen zu reduzieren. Falls das im Jahr 2025 tatsächlich eintreten sollte, dann braucht man in 2024 noch längst nichts tun. "Bevor es noch nicht längst zu spät, ist es immer noch viel zu früh etwas zu tun!" so eine häufig gemachte Beobachtung. ...zum ersten Mal sehr deutlich beobachtet bei einem Senior-Manager in einem Unternehmen, der eigentlich immer nur abgewartet hat und dafür auch gelobt und sehr geschätzt wurde, dass er nur Dinge entschieden hat, die auch wirklich notwendig gewesen sind – äußerst dringend!! Bereits in 2018 gab es eine Studie, die für 2035 vorhergesagt hat, dass die weltweit verfügbare Energieversorgung dann nicht mehr die weltweiten Rechenzentren versorgen kann. Die Studie aus 2018 wurde überarbeitet, als die Rechenzentren aus den Böden schossen und uns mit zentralen KI-System versorgt haben, die nicht nur Energie fressen, sondern auch Daten sammeln - die Daten eines jeden einzeln Nutzers der KI-Systeme. Die korrigierte Studie kam auf "vor 2030". Ob Elon Musk recht mit seiner Annahme hat, wird sich bis Ende des nächsten Jahres herausstellen. Bis dahin gilt also: "Bevor es noch nicht längst zu spät, ist es immer noch viel zu früh etwas zu tun!" Wo kämen wir denn hin, wenn einfach so und ohne offensichtliche Not und Dringlichkeit gehandelt würde‼ ...schon mal vorab, für die Zeit als es zu spät war etwas vorab zu tun...
