Capability upgrade! Should we say mega or micro improvement? We successfully improved the accuracy of our smart manufacturing robots to the 0,1 mm range 🔧🔬. During the past months, we have been working on improving the absolute accuracy of our robot collection. We achieved this by using an iterative approach, step by step going from small to XL-scale. With this upgrade, we can now ensure that our robots are always exactly at their required position. This is crucial for the successful application and highest quality level of smart manufacturing techniques, such as ultrasonic welding or automated fibre placement, also under development at SAM XL 💡🛠️. Involved SAM XL engineers: Dave Kroezen, Meldon Clark, Syrine Zbidi André Florindo.
