Excellent appointment for the new Chair of NHS England: Penny is no-nonsense, rigourous, seasoned and brings an international perspective (plus she’s the first woman to hold the role). Warm congratulations Penny Dash - much work to do!
A very intelligent person, who clearly understands the overall NHS. It will be interesting to see if she is able to reduce the extremely high expenditure with the major management consultancies, so favoured by NHS England , and Monitor, over the past 20 years. We know what needs to be done, so, as the old saying goes, don't " lend them your watch, so they can tell you the time"
Well said, Michael. Penny’s appointment is a powerful and needed step for the next stage of NHS system reform to improve outcomes for all of us. Appreciation to her predecessor, Richard Meddings, and onwards with all our support. — Vivian

Great choice NHS England - Penny will drive change where needed. Hugely respected and talented figure in our industry. Well done Penny!
Well then, it just got *a lot* harder to squeeze in to CHN events! =)
Good for you Penny! Let us know how we can support you to succeed in this vital role…

3wIf anyone can make that job work, it's Penny. Her appointment reaffirms the message that the NHS has to change much more than most people in this country believe is possible or necessary.
