Two incredible days at the Digital Health Festival surrounded by a melting pot of great minds united in their mission to deliver value to clinicians and patients. It was inspiring to witness the insatiable appetite for digital solutions like artificial intelligence in healthcare, both locally and globally. While we're still in the nascent stages of AI adoption in healthcare, the excitement and hunger for innovation were palpable. However, mindful steps from all stakeholders – innovators, clinicians, patients, policymakers, and researchers – will be crucial for successful implementation. To pave the way for this digital transformation, we need more open conversations and a willingness to embrace change. So, I invite healthcare professionals to reflect on these questions: 🧑💻 What technologies have you seamlessly integrated into your practice that once seemed unimaginable? 🤔 What are the current pain points or inefficiencies in your workflow that are because “It’s just the way it is” or could they potentially be addressed by technology? By keeping an open mind and learning from past experiences, we can collectively shape the future of healthcare and unlock the full potential of digital solutions to improve patient outcomes and quality of life for all.
𝐕𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐒𝐡𝐢𝐟𝐭 𝐋𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐔𝐩 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒! The energy at the Digital Health Festival 2024 was absolutely electric! For two days, VitalShift was shoulder-to-shoulder with some of the most inspiring minds in healthcare, all united by a common goal: to bring the future of health to life. Here are just a few of the key takeaways that left our team buzzing: 👀 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐋𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐞𝐝 Solutions ranging from streamlining clinical workflows for healthcare providers, to those that improve accessibility to care, and cutting-edge products empowering women's health - the breadth of innovation on display was awe-inspiring. It's clear that the future of healthcare is brimming with possibility, and we're excited to see how these advancements will improve care for everyone. 🪢 𝐅𝐇𝐈𝐑: 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐬 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 There was a strong focus on the importance of FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) standards. By enabling secure sharing of health information, FHIR has the potential to revolutionize collaboration within the healthcare ecosystem. This can eliminate unnecessary friction and accelerate care delivery – a win-win for both patients and providers! 🗝️ 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐲 𝐀𝐈 ️ The discussions around policy and frameworks for AI in Australian healthcare were insightful. Focusing on five key areas: the safety, quality, ethics, and security of AI, workforce impact, the consumer, the AI healthcare industry, and research. These considerations are crucial for building trust and capability in this powerful technology. The emphasis on these five priority areas gives us confidence that AI can be developed and implemented responsibly for the benefit of patients and the healthcare system as a whole. 🌊 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠! ️ While healthcare can sometimes be slow to embrace change, the appetite for technological integration and the use of AI at the festival was undeniable. This is a testament to the collective will to improve patient outcomes and create a more efficient healthcare system. At VitalShift, we're energized by this momentum and eager to be part of the future of health! #DigitalHealthFestival #DHF24 #HealthcareInnovation #AIinHealthcare If you are interested in learning more about how AI can be responsibly harnessed in healthcare and its benefits for healthcare providers, follow VitalShift where we’ll share more content around these topics.

On october 4th GDMH took part to #FestivalDigitalePopolare24 , in Turin. This year the three-day event (from 4th to 6th october) organised by Fondazione Italia Digitale in collaboration with TrendSanità - Policy & Procurement in HealthCare, focuses on the theme "Reducing distances, overcoming inequalities". Aim of the initiative is to generate knowledge by engaging people in an open discussion on digital issues, which involve every sphere of work and personal life nowadays. We joined the panel "Health for dreamers", dedicated to the impact of technology in healthcare. CEO Advisor Andrea Pagliai showcased GDMH as an example of success story during the section "Digital Health Stories". It was a fruitful sharing moment together with experts, companies and citizens about the challenges that innovation and technologies such as #ArtificialIntelligence could bring to healthcare and digital medicine environments, looking for a concrete development of medical research, hence citizens' care pathways. Thanks to Fondazione Italia Digitale for inviting us! Davide D'Arcangelo . #togethermovefirst #digitalmedicine #digitalhealthcare

🚀 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐇𝐓𝐄𝐋 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒 𝐒𝐲𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐮𝐦!🌐 We’re thrilled to share that Norman Sabbah, our Chief Operating Officer at Telemedicine Technologies, participated in Session 4 | Looking Forwards: Towards an EHDS Enabling Infrastructure alongside distinguished experts: - Henrique Martins from Iscte - Instituto Universitário de Lisboa (Portugal), - János Vincze from IHE-Europe (Hungary), - Nienke Schutte from Sciensano (Belgium). As part of this session, Norman addressed the thought-provoking topic: "Do research need to get data directly from people?" He emphasized how the right for individuals to have full control of their data will create a paradigm shift—not only for healthcare systems, but also for research. This paradigm shift will enable researchers to have direct access to individuals and their data, which could help assess the feasibility of specific research protocols and advance innovation. This pivotal session, held within the framework of the xShare project, also explored the future of health data systems and their transformative role in advancing the European Health Data Space (EHDS). The xShare project aims to empower individuals to share their health data effortlessly through the European Electronic Health Record Exchange Format (#EEHRxF), fostering safe and trusted data sharing to boost healthcare and research innovation. The session concluded with a very engaging Q&A, where the audience posed thought-provoking questions, sparking meaningful discussions on the future of health data infrastructure. #TelemedicineTechnologies #EHTEL2024 #DigitalHealth #EHDS #Innovation #HealthData #FutureOfHealthcare #xShareProject
